CHARACTER COUNTS! in Honduras

Dr. Mary Morris traveled to Choletca, Honduras over Spring Break to provide teacher professional development using CHARACTER COUNTS! for two schools.  The children and teachers enjoyed learning about the Six Pillars and making necklaces to remember each one.

At the end of the week, each teacher was given a certificate of completion from the Center for Character Development at Lipscomb University.

Community Day at Napier Elementary

CHARACTER COUNTS! Nashville volunteers enjoy reading to children.  Here Charles Fentress can be found reading to about 20 children who loved having him visit.

From the looks on these kid's faces...They loved having Rudy Kalis from Channel 4 read Where the Wild Things Are.  They also had the special treat of hearing his skydiving story.

Walker Mathews could be found in another classroom reading some of his favorite stories.  With his enthusiasm and fun personality, the kids are anxiously awaiting his return.

Harold Fogelberg, Executive Director of CHARACTER COUNTS! Nashville, enjoyed reading Corduroy to the children in the 4th grade.  He really enjoyed getting to know them and hearing that they thought he was 95 years old.
